Confirmation is faith formation. Youth are taught basics of Old / New Testament, and guided to help apply this teaching to their lives. There is much discussion, and students are encouraged to ask their questions about faith and life. There are two or three field trips each year which emphasize to the youth that “life with Jesus makes a difference in our own lives, and in the world for other.”
This important ministry includes classes for 8th and 9th grade students. The two grades meet Wednesday evenings at 6 pm, unless otherwise noted. There is NO confirmation instruction on school holidays or when school is called off due to weather.
Confirmation students are assigned to Acolyte during worship services throughout the year. The acolyte schedule is available in the basement and in the youth room.
Stockholm is a partner with parents and the home. Parents are always encouraged to contact Pastor Mark with questions about Confirmation and growing faith in the home.
